Ingredients
2 ½ cups cake flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
¾ cup unsalted butter, browned & cooled
1 ¼ cups sugar
3 large eggs
1 tbsp vanilla bean paste
1 cup buttermilk
Method
Cream brown butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
Alternate dry ingredients with buttermilk.
Bake at 170°C (340°F) for 30–35 min.
Finish with whipped vanilla mascarpone.
