Beef Puff Pastry Roll Recipe
**Ingredients:**
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 400 g ground beef
- 100 g Gouda cheese, grated
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional)
**Instructions:**
1. **Preheat Oven:**
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. **Prepare the Filling:**
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned.
- Stir in the tomato paste, salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano. Cook for another 2–3 minutes.

- Spread the beef mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Carefully roll the pastry into a log, sealing the edges with a little water.
- Place the roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
4. **Apply Egg Wash:**
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the pastry roll.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds on top if desired.
5. **Bake:**
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.
