Delicious Salted Caramel Kentucky Butter Cake:

Ingredients: For the Cake: 3 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups granulated sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup buttermilk 1 cup unsalted butter, melted 4 large eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract For the Salted Caramel Glaze: 1 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup water 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1/2 cup heavy cream 1 teaspoon sea salt (adjust to taste)

Instructions: For the Cake: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a bundt cake pan. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined. The batter will be thick. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt cake pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. For the Salted Caramel Glaze: In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water over medium heat.

Stir until the sugar dissolves. Once the sugar has dissolved, stop stirring and let it cook until it turns a deep amber color. Be careful not to burn it. Add the butter and stir until melted. Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring constantly. Be cautious as the mixture may bubble up. Stir in the sea salt to taste. Let the caramel sauce cool for a few minutes. Assembly: Once the cake has cooled, place it on a serving plate. Pour the salted caramel glaze over the cake, allowing it to drizzle down the sides. Slice and serve. Enjoy your Salted Caramel Kentucky Butter Cake!
