Smothered ground beef



°2 chopped onions.

°2 celery stalks chopped.

°1 teaspoon of olive oil.

°¼ teaspoon granulated garlic.

°2 ½ cups of chicken broth.

°¼ cup flour.

°3 tablespoons of lemon juice.

°⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper.

°2 tablespoons of tabasco sauce.

°1 ½ lb crab meat in pieces.

°¼ cup chopped green onions.

°¼ cup fresh parsley or

1 ½ tablespoon dried parsley.

°3 c basmati or brown rice.


Sauté the onions with the celery in olive oil in a large pot for about 10 minutes until softened. Stir in granulated garlic. In a large bowl, combine the chicken broth and flour until smooth and pour over the onion mixture, stirring to combine and bring to a boil then simmer on low for 30 minutes until thickened. Stir in lemon juice, cayenne pepper, tabasco sauce and shrimp and cook 5 minutes more. Stir in crabmeat, green onions and parsley and cook 5 minutes more. Serve hot over rice and voila!
