Ingredients:

1 lb (450g) ground beef 1 small onion, finely chopped 1 bell pepper, finely chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 cup (240ml) ketchup 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon mustard Salt and pepper to taste Sliced cheese (such as cheddar, American, or your favorite cheese) Hamburger buns Instructions: Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Once the beef is browned, add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly. While the Sloppy Joe mixture is simmering, preheat your oven’s broiler. Once the Sloppy Joe mixture is ready, slice the hamburger buns in half and place them on a baking sheet, cut side up.

Spoon the Sloppy Joe mixture onto the bottom halves of the hamburger buns, spreading it evenly. Place a slice of cheese on top of the Sloppy Joe mixture on each bun. Put the baking sheet under the broiler and broil for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and place the top halves of the hamburger buns on top of the cheese-covered bottoms to assemble the sandwiches.

Serve immediately and enjoy your Sloppy Joes with gooey melted cheese! Feel free to adjust the seasonings and cheese type according to your taste preferences. Enjoy your cheesy Sloppy Joes!
