For the steak: 2 steaks (such as ribeye, sirloin, or New York strip), about 8 ounces each Salt and black pepper, to taste 2 tablespoons olive oil 4 cloves garlic, minced 2 tablespoons butter Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish) For the potatoes: 4 medium-sized potatoes, washed and diced into cubes 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon paprika Salt and black pepper, to taste Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish) Instructions: Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat for the steak.

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) for the potatoes. Season the steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides. In a small bowl, mix together minced garlic, olive oil, and a pinch of salt. Rub this mixture all over the steaks. Place the seasoned steaks on the hot grill or grill pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time according to your desired level of doneness.

Once cooked, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. While the steaks are resting, prepare the potatoes. In a large bowl, toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated. Spread the seasoned potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside.

You can flip them halfway through the cooking time for even browning. While the potatoes are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Place the rested steaks in the skillet with the garlic butter and cook for an additional minute on each side, basting the steaks with the garlic butter. Serve the garlic steaks alongside the roasted potatoes.
