Rice with Meat and Lentils recipe
Eight cups of water. One and a half cups of ripe green lentils. Two tablespoons of vegetable oil. A piece of finely chopped onion. Half a kilo of minced meat. A tablespoon of ground cinnamon. Maggi cubes. Half a cup of hot water. Grated carrot.
A cup of raisins. Two cups of basmati rice. Three tablespoons of softened butter. Fried onion, cut into slices, for garnish. Method of preparation We put vegetable oil, onions, and minced meat in a saucepan on the fire and stir, then add cinnamon, maggi, and hot water to the mixture and continue stirring until the ingredients are homogeneous with each other. We put the rice and hot water in another cooker on the fire and stir well, then leave the rice for five minutes on the fire until it is half cooked, then remove it from the fire and drain it well from the water. Add the carrots, lentils, and raisins to the meat mixture and stir well until the ingredients mix well, then remove the mixture from the heat and set it aside.
Put the butter on the fire and stir well until it melts completely, then put half the amount of rice, the meat and lentil mixture, then add the remaining amount of rice. Leave the mixture on the fire for twenty minutes or until it is completely cooked, then remove it from the heat and put it on a serving plate and decorate it with fried onion slices, and serve it with yogurt
