Spicy fried chicken sandwich ingredients
Chicken breast: a quarter of a kilo (cut into thin long strips)
Eggs: 2 tablets
Milk: 3 tablespoons
Flour: 2 tablespoons
Baking powder: a tablespoon
Breadcrumbs: a cup
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
Onion powder: 1 teaspoon
Hot red pepper: 1 teaspoon (powdered)
Oil: abundant (a proper amount for frying)
Lettuce: 10 leaves (chopped)
Baguette bread: 2 loaves
Mayonnaise: half a cup
Hot sauce: 2 tablespoons
How to prepare
In a medium bowl, season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion and red pepper, and stir well until the chicken breasts are covered with the marinade, and leave for 30 minutes.
Beat the eggs with the milk in a separate deep bowl, and sift the flour over them while continuing to beat, then add the starch and baking powder while continuing to beat until you get a homogeneous mixture, and sprinkle a little salt.
Add the chicken strips to the mixture until it is completely covered.
Heat a frying pan with plenty of oil over a high heat.
Put a slice of chicken in the breadcrumbs until well coated, and repeat the process with the rest of the slices.
Cook the chicken fillets in the oil until they turn golden, and place them on a paper towel.
Grease the baguette with mayonnaise and hot sauce.
Stuff the bread with lettuce, then lay the chicken slices on top.
Serve chicken sandwich with french fries.
